Those wanting to download custom topographical maps of the routes profiled in Hiking Trails of Ottawa need only wait another few weeks. MapSherpa, the map-making software application, will soon carry copies of all 50 routes that may be printed in your own home before you go on your hike.
If you would prefer to have your map printed on waterproof paper and ink, the World of Maps, 1235 Wellington Street, Ottawa, will be offering that service.
Eventually, custom topographical maps for all my hiking guides, Hiking Trails of Nova Scotia, Hiking Trails of Cape Breton, the new Trails of Halifax Municipality (launching July 7, 2010), and the upcoming Hiking Trails of Montreal (spring 2011) will be available at MapSherpa - more than 200 routes!
